Homemade Ranch Dressing
By: Amber Grangroth
Ranch Dressing is so versatile! You can use it on salads, sandwiches, and wraps. Dip those fresh garden veggies into it, top a baked potato and dip your pizza in it!
Making your own Ranch dressing is so easy and delicious and you can make it as healthy as you’d like. Hello, homemade mayo! I’ll get around to sharing that recipe at some point. There are some great store-bought options for mayo too and any of them will work.
I like to save bottles with lids, I remove the label and then reuse them for salad dressings! But a basic jar or container with a lid will work just as well.
This summer I have chives and dill growing in the garden, so I’ve been using those but you can use fresh or dried herbs from the grocery store and it will still be delicious. Enough chit chat, let’s make some Ranch dressing!
Homemade Ranch Dressing Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup mayo
1/2 cup sour cream or plain Greek yogurt
1 Tbsp mustard
2 Tbsp pickle juice (apple cider vinegar or lemon juice will work also but pickle juice gives the best flavor)
2 Tbsp milk (add more for a thinner consistency)
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp garlic powder or 1 clove minced
1/4 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp oregano
1 Tbsp dried parsley
1 tsp dill or 1 Tbsp fresh dill chopped
1 tsp dried chives or Tbsp fresh chives
1/2 tsp paprika
Instructions:
Mix all ingredients and refrigerate for 1 hour for the flavors to marry. Keep refrigerated and use within 2-3 weeks.
