No Knead Bread (Four Ingredient)

No Knead Bread is the absolute easiest bread to make. It is baked in a preheated Dutch oven or casserole dish with a lid to create a perfectly crunchy outside and soft chewy inside. No Knead Bread is an artisan bread that is similar to the Dutch Oven Sourdough but uses yeast and is a thousand times more simple. You can’t mess it up.

This bread is so delicious and gives the illusion that you worked really hard to make it, when the hands-on time is actually only a few minutes. You can make it for your friends and family and they will surely be impressed! It’s that good and that easy!

Simply add flour, salt, and yeast to a large bowl and stir to combine. Pour warm water over the top, and mix to form a shaggy dough. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and forget about it until the next day. That’s the longest part. Waiting…

No Knead Bread is delicious as a sandwich, or spread with butter alongside eggs, soup, stew, or salad. Mix this together and have fresh bread tomorrow or every day!

No Knead Bread Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all purpose flour or bread flour
  • 1/2 tsp dry yeast
  • 1 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water

Directions:

  1. 1. In a large bowl add flour, yeast and salt. Mix to combine.
  2. 2. Pour warm water over the top of the dry ingredients and mix to form a shaggy dough
  3. 3. Place Plastic wrap over the top of the bowl and let sit on the counter for 12-18 hours.
  4. 4. Preheat oven to 450F with a dutch oven inside.
  5. 5. Generously flour your hands and sprinkle over the dough that is in the bowl. Also flour a piece of parchment paper.
  6. 6. Carefully form a round loaf as you take the dough out of the bowl and place it on the parchment paper. Lift it into the preheated dutch oven and place lid on.
  7. 7. Bake at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 minutes covered. Remove the cover and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. 8. Remove loaf to a cooling rack and cool completely before slicing.
